INGREDIENTS
- 2 sirloin steaks
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1 cup mint leaves, chopped
- 1 scallion, chopped
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pinch salt
Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 6 tablespoons lemon juice
- 6 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon red chili flakes
INSTRUCTIONS
- Heat up a pan with on high heat and add the olive oil.
- Salt the sirloin steaks and sear for 3 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and set aside for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat up a small pan on low heat and add the rice. Toast it until it starts to brown. Crush the toasted rice, add the chili, sugar, fish sauce, lemon and mix well.
- Cut the steaks into thin slices. Place the cilantro, mint, red onion, scallion in a bowl. Put the steak slices on top and pour over the sauce. Mix well and serve with sticky rice balls or any other side you like.
