Mediterranean Baked Fish and Chips

Baked fish and chips is a lighter, healthier version of the much loved English staple.
Servings: 3



  • 3 potatoes, cut into ½" slices
  • 1 bunch dill, chopped
  • 4 scallions, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, pressed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup oil


  • 3 whole fish (the fish used in the video is a Gilt-head bream), with 3 horizontal cuts on each side
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup olive oil


  • Preheat the oven to 430 F (220 C).
  • Mix all the chips ingredients in a bowl.
  • Line up a sheet pan with parchment paper and spread the chips evenly.
  • Bake them on the upper rack until they brown.
  • Add the fish, drizzle the oil and sprinkle salt and pepper, then bake on the middle rack for about 20 minutes.
