Fast and Easy Beef Arayes Tortillas

EQUIPMENT

INGREDIENTS
 

  • 6 tortillas

Filling:

  • 1 pound/~500 grams ground beef
  • ¼ cup parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup mint, chopped
  • ¼ cup onion, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Baharat
  • 3 tablespoons oil

Basic tahini dip:

  • 1 cup raw tahini
  • ¾ cup water
  • ½ lemon, squeezed
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed (optional)
  • ½ bunch parsley, finely chopped

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Mix all the filling ingredients in a bowl.
  • Turn on you panini press.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture right on the center of each tortilla, then fold in half and press down, lightly.
  • Drizzle oil on the bottom of the panini press.
  • When the oil is warm, fry the tortillas for 2-3 minutes on each side.

We recommend lamb or pork for meats. For a vegetarian option, you can use a mixture of sautéed mushrooms and onions with black beans and a slice of cheese 😋
