Camembert Stuffed Pumpkin Pastry

For 2 pumpkins:

  • 1 egg, beaten

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 355 F (180 C).
  • Heat up a pan and add the oil.
  • Fry the onion with the sugar and water in a pan for about 15 minutes until it is golden and there is no liquid left.
  • Place a puff pastry sheet on your working surface and cut out a circle with a knife using a plate as the shape.
  • Add ยฝ of the fried onion at the center of the circle, flatten with a tablespoon and place a Camembert block on top.
  • Wrap the Camembert with the pastry sheet and tie with a string as shown in the video.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden. Cut the string after you remove the pastry from the oven.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t like Camembert so much, what other cheese can I use?
You could use a block if fresh mozzarella, Brie, cheddar or any other cheese you like.
