Garlic Parmesan Bread Twists

INGREDIENTS
- 1 5"x5” puff pastry square dough sheet or gluten-free puff pastry sheet
- ¾ cup parmesan or plant-based parmesan, grated
- ½ cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 beaten egg, or 1 tablespoon chia seeds / ground flax seeds mixed and soaked for 5 minutes in a bowl with 3 tablespoons water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 390 °F (200 °C).
- Brush the dough sheet with the egg.
- Mix all the other ingredients in a bowl and sprinkle on top. Press on the mixture you just added with your hand to make sure it stays on the dough.
- Cut the dough vertically into 1½” thick strips, fold each strip in half and roll on both sides until you get a stick shape (you can also skip this step and just bake the sheet as is).
- Place the sticks on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden.
