INGREDIENTS
 

  • 1 5"x5” puff pastry square dough sheet or gluten-free puff pastry sheet
  • ¾ cup parmesan or plant-based parmesan, grated
  • ½ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 beaten egg, or 1 tablespoon chia seeds / ground flax seeds mixed and soaked for 5 minutes in a bowl with 3 tablespoons water

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 390 °F (200 °C).
  • Brush the dough sheet with the egg.
  • Mix all the other ingredients in a bowl and sprinkle on top. Press on the mixture you just added with your hand to make sure it stays on the dough.
  • Cut the dough vertically into 1½” thick strips, fold each strip in half and roll on both sides until you get a stick shape (you can also skip this step and just bake the sheet as is).
  • Place the sticks on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes, or until golden.
