INGREDIENTS
- Oil for deep frying
Dough:
- 386 milliliters/400 grams buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2½ cups self-rising flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Filling:

INSTRUCTIONS
- Fill ½ a deep pot with frying oil and heat it up on high heat.
- Whisk all the dough ingredients together in a bowl until well combined.
- Create a small ball using two teaspoons and add it to the oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes until golden, stirring occasionally. Remove to a plate with a paper towel and sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Serve right away.
